Welcome to a new school year! I hope your summer was wonderful and that you are excited as our 2007-2008 school year gets underway!

while raising funds to support our school.
As you know, fundraising is an integral part of any school’s
financing. Without the money that we
raise during the year via our fundraising efforts, we would not be able to operate
the school and improve the school to the level we want. We have all chosen
We have scheduled many interesting and exciting activities and events for this school year. Some are on-going while others happen at a set time during the year. For your convenience, we list our fundraising plans for 2007-2008, along with their estimated timing during the school year:
Enrichment Supplement August 2007
This activity, managed by CFEP, provides 100% of the money you give directly to our school. You can choose to give funds in either one lump sum or through a two payment plan. Remember that this donation is entirely tax-deductible! Any amount is welcome. Our goal, and focus, is to have 100% participation from our EPMS families. J
Genevieve’s Gift Wrap and Goodies September 2007
An opportunity for you to purchase some great wrapping papers, gift items, calendars, and healthy snacks while supporting Eagle Peak.
Read-A-Thon October 2007
Our most educational fundraiser, this activity encourages children to get back into the swing of things after summer vacation. Students obtain pledges of support from family and friends for reading books for 300 minutes (30 minutess per day for a period of 10 days). Great fundraiser for all of us since 100% of the money raised comes directly to EPMS and then 20% goes to each participating child as a gift certificate to a local bookstore. Plus, this year we plan to have some exciting reading-related activities taking place during the Read-A-Thon, including a book swap.
Thanksgiving Camp November 2007
A fabulous camp tentatively scheduled to take place during the first two days of Thanksgiving Week Break. A great way for the kids to have some fun and activities during the break.
Paper Scrip December 2007
Something so easy for all of us to do…gift certificates or gift cards for stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc. that we normally frequent. EPMS receives a small percentage of profit (ranging from 2% to 20%) from every certificate/ card sold. Only offered twice this school year so stock up…makes great holiday gifts! Or buy a gift card for yourself and use it throughout the year.

Teacher Trips February 2007
Various outings and excursions hosted by the EPMS teachers. Similar to last year, the trips will be sold “by the spot”. Exciting activities from last year included Hiking Mt. Diablo, Bowling Bash, Extreme Fun Camp, and Sailing on the San Francisco Bay!!
Wine & Cheese Reception Featuring the EPMS Auction April 2007
The greatest social event for EPMS adults…a chance to eat great food, drink great wine and bid on fabulous items. All to support EPMS!! A wonderful evening of friends and festivity.
Spring Fest May 2007
The school’s biggest family social fundraiser of the year! Booths with games, prizes for the kids, food on the grill, and the entire community together!
eScrip All Year
The most effective and easiest way
for us to raise funds for our school without requiring you to pay or buy
anything extra!!! The money raised from
the nationwide eScrip Program is paid by retailers and national companies, not
you! Such an easy way to help us raise
funds from outside of our families. It
does not require you to do anything differently than you normally do. Just register online with eScrip and a
portion of the amount you spend at dozens of local shops automatically gets sent
to EPMS throughout the school year.

Friday Market Fridays
An end-of-week celebration in the Courtyard almost every Friday of the school year. Come hang out with friends while enjoying healthy treats and cool items.
EPMS Store all year
An opportunity to support EPMS while getting some cool items with the EPMS name and/or logo imprinted. Watch for these items throughout the year.
Box Tops
Clip the little “Box Tops coupon” off of the tops of dozens of packaged products you buy and send them in to the office when return your Friday Folder each Monday. We earn money for sending in the clipped Box Tops…no extra cost to you but free money for the schoolJ
